EmiSunshine & The Rain will preview some songs from her forthcoming album, “Family Wars,” when she tapes the internationally syndicated television and radio program “WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour” on Monday, September 16, at the historic Lyric Theatre in Lexington, Kentucky. It will be her second appearance on the show.

Hosted by folksinger and composer Michael Johnathon, “WoodSongs” is seen on PBS affiliates and RFD-TV nationwide. The radio version of the program is heard on hundreds of stations worldwide, including the American Forces Radio Network. Previous guests have included the likes of John Oates, Tommy Emmanuel, Jewel, Judy Collins, Bela Fleck, Blind Boys of Alabama and many more.

Ordinarily, one episode is taped each Monday, but on September 16, two episodes will be recorded, back-to-back. The first episode will feature Jim Kweskin, founder of the legendary Jim Kweskin Jug Band, which rose to popularity in the 1960s. Emi’s episode, which will be a special celebration of the ukulele and will include other performers, is expected to air in November.

Tickets to the September 16 taping of “WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour” are $20, and can be reserved by calling 859-280-2218 or by visiting WoodSongs.com.
